Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Argus Terminal ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Argus Terminal website and application (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Email address, name (if provided), and a hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Portfolio and watchlist data. Tickers, position sizes, cost basis, and notes you choose to enter. This data exists so the Service can personalize signals and risk analysis for you.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and the last four digits of your card. Full card details never touch our servers.
- Waitlist information. Email address submitted through the waitlist form.
- Usage data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and feature usage, used for security and to improve the Service.
2. How we use information
- To provide and personalize the Service, including signals, briefs, and portfolio analysis.
- To process subscriptions and manage billing.
- To send transactional email (account, billing, security) and, with your consent, product updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your portfolio data with advertisers or data brokers.
3. AI processing
Some features send your queries and relevant context (such as tickers you hold) to large language model providers to generate analysis. These providers process the data to return a response and are contractually restricted from using API data to train their models under their standard API terms.

5. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for authentication sessions and product preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your personal information and portfolio data from our production systems within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing support@argusquant.com. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (such as the EEA, UK, or California), we honor access, correction, deletion, and portability requests consistent with those laws.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are hashed. Access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
