Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Argus Terminal website, application, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. The Service
Argus Terminal provides AI-assisted aggregation and analysis of publicly available market information, including SEC filings, congressional trade disclosures, earnings call transcripts, and macroeconomic data. Outputs include signals, briefings, scores, and other research aids. All outputs are informational research tools, not recommendations to buy or sell any security.
4. Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- The paid plan is billed monthly in advance through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your card details.
- The paid plan includes a 7-day free trial on your first subscription. You can cancel during the trial without charge.
- The Free tier is a permanent plan. It does not expire and requires no payment method.
- Founding-rate pricing remains in effect for as long as the subscription stays active. If the subscription lapses, the then-current standard rate applies on re-subscription.
- You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments already made are not refunded.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes never affect an active founding-rate subscription.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, or republish Service outputs (signals, briefs, scores) outside your own personal or internal business use.
- Scrape, crawl, or access the Service by automated means other than interfaces we provide.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the models, prompts, or source code behind the Service.
- Use the Service to violate any law or regulation, including securities laws.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content generated by the platform, is owned by Argus Terminal or its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. Data you enter (such as portfolio holdings) remains yours; you grant us a license to process it to provide the Service.
8. Third-party data
The Service relies on data from third-party sources, including government filings and market data providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data, and delays or errors in upstream sources may affect outputs.
9. No investment advice
The Service provides information and research tools only. It does not provide personalized investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and no output should be treated as a recommendation. You retain full authority over your investment decisions. Consult a licensed financial professional before acting on any information from the Service. Our Investment Disclaimer is part of these Terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Argus Terminal and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Argus Terminal and its owner from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the Service, with notice where practicable. Sections 7 through 12 survive termination.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
